Consequences for not doing chores

Sheryl Does anybody have any ideas regarding chores not being done and what types of consequences I could place on them?

I am a new Foster mom of two teenage girls and chorebuster has worked out very well. On occasion the girls sneak out without doing chores.

One of the consequences I have instilled is if chores do not get done they will need to be done the next day along with that days chores. In addition to that...the people who did their chores gets to assign one of their chores to the person who failed to do them.

I could use a few other ideas as this seems to be a bit lenient on them. It worked at first but now it's becoming a daily event for the girls to skip their responsibilities. I would add a monetary reward if I had the extra money to do it but I unfortunately do not.
Kimberly Hogg Hi there,

We teach "pay then play" - link chores to things they really want...dessert, earning free time, electronic time (TV, computer, etc.), time with friends, or whatever. No chores, no blessings.
